About Tech Bros
Tech Bros provides friendly, reliable in-home IT support to individuals and small businesses across Christchurch. We specialise in clear, patient technology support—particularly for customers who value trust, professionalism, and plain-English explanations.
As demand grows, we are building a network of on-call technicians to provide coverage across all Christchurch suburbs.
The Role
As a Freelance IT Support Technician, you will provide in-person technical support in customers’ homes and small businesses. Jobs are offered based on location and availability, and you are free to accept or decline work.
Typical work includes:
Troubleshooting laptops, desktops, phones, tablets, and printers
Setting up new devices and Wi-Fi connections
Resolving common software and email issues
Explaining solutions clearly and patiently
Representing Tech Bros professionally in the community
Who This Role Suits

Freelance or self-employed IT technicians

What We’re Looking For
Strong general IT knowledge (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)

Reliable, punctual, and professional
Based in Christchurch with ability to travel locally
Previous IT support experience is helpful but not essential

Technicians must provide a valid Police Clearance Certificate (issued within the last 6–12 months)
Police clearance certificates can be obtained through the Ministry of Justice (criminal record check) or an approved third-party provider
